Leiwen to Bernkastel-Kues
In the oldest wine village in Germany you can see a faithful replica of a Roman wine ship and in Piesport one of the largest Roman wine presses north of the Alps. Continue along the Moselle cycle path to Bernkastel-Kues, where you park your bike and explore the fairytale old town. In the evening you shouldn't miss a tour of the medieval city. Possibly accompanied by a night watchman who can tell many interesting stories. You spend two nights in Bernkastel-Kues.
Circular route Bernkasteler Schweiz
Today you hike over a few inclines and serpentines through Bernkasteler Schweiz, where you are accompanied by the Tiefenbach. Bernkastel-Kues to Traben-Trarbach
You drive down the Moselle on the Moselle Cycle Path and reach the Machern monastery. An excellent beer is brewed here. Distillates can also be tasted in a cellar. From the Bismarckhöhe you can enjoy an incomparable view of the loop art of the Moselle right before Traben-Trarbach. The later descent to the wine town of Reil is done quickly and takes you directly to the town's train station. Before leaving Reil, you should try a glass of the Reiler hot stone. The way back to Traben-Trarbach is easy with the Moselle excursion boat.
