Bike trip: Moselle Cycle Path Trier - Bernkastel-Kues - Cochem - Koblenz
This tour is something for sporty people and leads along the Moselle cycle path. You stay overnight in middle centers of the region. In Koblenz, the cable car takes you to a vantage point over Moselle and Rhine.
DAY 1: ARRIVAL TO TRIER
Your vacation begins with a glass of sparkling wine on Trier's medieval market square. Toast to an eventful Moselle bike tour. Discover the oldest city in Germany.
DAY 2: MOSELLE CYCLE PATH - CYCLING TOUR TRIER TO BERNKASTEL-KUES | 67 KM
You leave Trier along the river bank on the Moselle cycle path. The Moselle takes you past meadows, forests, vineyards and through picturesque towns. On the way we invite you to a winegrower's feast. But the story is not neglected either. The Villa Rustica, an ancient estate, the Roman wine ship and the historic wine press in Piesport are on the route to Bernkastel-Kues. This city steeped in history has always retained its character. It is a veritable half-timbered museum.
DAY 3: MOSELLE CYCLE PATH - CYCLING TOUR BERNKASTEL-KUES TO COCHEM | 81 KM
A few kilometers down the Moselle, directly at the Hochmosel crossing, you will find the Machern Monastery. Not only the special ambience of the old monastery walls has its charm. It also houses a toy and icon museum, and an excellent beer is brewed here. The further course of the Moselle cycle path takes you to Traben-Trarbach, where the Belle Epoque comes to life. Cycle through the area of the famous "Zeller Schwarze Katz" vineyard past the "Sleeping Beauty" village of Beilstein to Cochem. Small alleys, a long Moselle promenade and for the very sporty, winding hiking trails to the late Gothic Reichsburg await.
DAY 4: MOSELLE CYCLE PATH - CYCLING TOUR COCHEM TO KOBLENZ | 51 KM
Today's attractions on the Moselle Cycle Path include the well-preserved Eltz Castle, which has been enthroned high on a rocky spur for centuries. In the afternoon you will reach the city at the Deutsches Eck, where the Moselle and Rhine converge. You take the cable car to the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, before you end the evening with a walk through winding streets and a good drink in the "Weindorf".
DAY 5: DEPARTURE FROM KOBLENZ
You could get to know the middle centers of the Moselle during the sporty tour. Would you like to discover more ?! Then we recommend our additional days - whether before, during or after the package program - an extension is always worthwhile.
