Conquer the realm of the pawworm, half lion, half lindworm, on these stages of the Moselsteig trail, which require a surefootedness and fitness.
DAY 1: ARRIVAL TO MOSELKERN
You travel to Moselkern and start your hiking holiday on the Moselsteig in the place with the oldest town hall on the Moselle.
DAY 2: MOSELSTEIG STAGE 21 | MOSELKERN TO LÖF | 14 KM | Ø 4 HOURS
The steep path leads up to the little cupboard. Enjoy a fantastic view of the Moselle and Baybach valleys and watch the paragliders take off. The dream path Hatzenporter Laysteig accompanies part of the Moselsteig Trail. For the very sporty, the Dolling via ferrata attracts with rope-secured passages and ladders. Via the Rabenlay with hut and rest area, you continue to walk to Löf.
DAY 3: MOSELSTEIG STAGE 22 | LÖF TO KOBERN-GONDORF | 15 KM | Ø 5 HOURS
A fantastic stage on the Moselsteig Trail with beautiful views is waiting for you. The magnificent Thurant Castle from the age of knights with its twin towers is at the beginning of the hike. Then it goes on demanding on the Sieben-Fußfalls-Kreuzweg on the Bleidenberg. The two panorama points Hitzlay and Mönch-Felix-Hütte offer wonderful views. You reach your destination via steep serpentines. Enjoy the wines of the Moselle during a wine tasting in the evening.
DAY 4: MOSELSTEIG STAGE 23 | KOBERN-GONDORF TO WINNINGEN | 14 KM | Ø 5 HOURS
Through the Mühltal you enter the territory of the pawworm. You follow his footsteps through old vineyards to the Niederburg, Oberburg and the Matthias Chapel. The Moselsteig Trail leads steadily uphill to Blumslay, a lookout point on Kobern-Gondorf and Dieblich. Downhill you reach Winningen, a picturesque place on the Moselle. The founder of the Audi automobile workshop, August Horch, was born here. You can learn about him in the museum. End the day with a tasty dinner.
DAY 5: MOSELSTEIG STAGE 24 | WINNINGEN TO KOBLENZ | 15 KM | Ø 4 HOURS
This last stage of your hiking holiday leads leisurely to Koblenz. Only the beginning of the hike over steep paths up to the Domgartenhütte requires a bit of stamina. The Moselsteig Trail ends in Güls, and at the same time the most beautiful access path begins here, which ends at the Deutsches Eck in Koblenz. Take the cable car up to the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress (UNESCO World Heritage Site) and enjoy the panoramic view from above over the city, the rivers and the surrounding area. The cultural center, a spacious park and the historic fortress await you. Strengthen yourself from your hiking holiday with a refreshing drink and a snack in the beer garden, café or restaurant.
DAY 6: DEPARTURE FROM KOBLENZ
