DAY 1: ARRIVAL TO COCHEM
From your overnight stay in Cochem you can explore the Moselsteig Trail. Hike to the Reichsburg or discover the Moselle by boat.
DAY 2: MOSELSTEIG STAGE 18 | COCHEM TO BEILSTEIN | 14 KM | Ø 4 HOURS
Your hiking holiday on the Moselsteig begins on the steep rock face of the Brauselay. You climb up to the Apollohütte and the Hahnenberg viewpoint, where you will be rewarded with fantastic views. Shortly before Beilstein it gets challenging again, you hike steeply downhill on narrow paths. Beilstein is known as the Sleeping Beauty Village on the Moselle. Stroll through the town before you take the boat back to Cochem on the Moselle.
DAY 3: MOSELSTEIG STAGE 19 | COCHEM TO TREIS-KARDEN | 24 KM | Ø 8 HOURS
A sporty hike awaits you - uphill and downhill through the Dortebachtal nature reserve, past vineyards and stream valleys. At the beginning you can reach the viewing terrace and the Pinner Cross by cable car or on foot. The Moselsteig Trail takes you further up to the Klotten wildlife and leisure park, before continuing down to the banks of the Moselle. Over further heights and valleys you finally get past a temple complex to Treis-Karden. The return journey can be made by train.
DAY 4: VIA FERRATA CALMONT | EDIGER-ELLER | 7 KM | Ø 4 HOURS
You can take the train to Ediger-Eller. From the train station, walk to the Galgenlay shelter, the starting point of the Calmont via ferrata. The path leads up to the steepest vineyard in Europe via ladders and passages secured with steel ropes. Enjoy the wonderful panoramic view of Bremm, Ediger-Eller and the Stuben monastery ruins along the way. Sturdy shoes and good physical condition are essential. You can rest at the summit cross before you hike back via the Calmont-Höhenweg. At the end of your hiking holiday on the Moselle, enjoy a strengthening dinner in Cochem today.
DAY 5: DEPARTURE FROM COCHEM
