Enjoy the view over Rome on the Moselle. Then explore the world heritage site on foot. Trier winemakers welcome you in the middle of the main market with a glass of sparkling wine.
DAY 2: CYCLING TOUR TRIER TO LEIWEN | 42 KM
You cycle down the Moselle on the award-winning cycle paths along the river landscape. The ascent to the Fünf-Seen-Blick observation tower in Mehring is worthwhile, because from here the Moselle loops give the impression of being made up of five lakes. Back in the valley you get to Leiwen, where you are expected for a wine tasting in the cellar of a winemaker.
DAY 3: CYCLING TOUR LEIWEN TO TRABEN-TRARBACH | 53 KM
In Neumagen-Dhron and Piesport you will learn a lot about the history of wine. Uphill you follow the panorama road that lives up to its name. You will be rewarded with fantastic views for your efforts. Back in the valley, you reach Bernkastel-Kues with its medieval ambience. At the stage destination Traben-Trarbach, it goes uphill again to Grevenburg, before you spend the evening in the ambience of the winding streets of the Art Nouveau city.
DAY 4: CYCLING TOUR TRABEN-TRARBACH TO EDIGER-ELLER | 37 KM
You are leaving Traben-Trarbach. After Zell you master another ascent to the Marienburg. Here you can enjoy the magnificent view of one of the Moselle loops during a break in the middle of the vineyard. Your destination for today is right on Calmont, the steepest single vineyard site in Europe. End the day comfortably with a good dinner.
DAY 5: CYCLING TOUR EDIGER-ELLER TO TREIS-KARDEN | 38 KM
The first part of today's tour takes you to Cochem. Take a city walk and get to know the Reichsburg. Then you cycle down the Moselle through the vineyards to Treis-Karden.
DAY 6: CYCLING TOUR TREIS KARDEN TO KOBLENZ | 39 KM
As far as Koblenz, the city where the Rhine and Moselle flow together at the Deutsches Eck, you will pass many castles. The cable car takes you to the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress. Experience the history of the fortress and enjoy the panoramic view over the city.
DAY 7: DEPARTURE FROM KOBLENZ
