DAY 1: ARRIVAL TO TRIER
Your vacation begins with a glass of sparkling wine in the middle of the city, which is also known as the Rome of the North. Between historic houses and buildings steeped in history, you will quickly find out that the oldest city in Germany actually has a southern flair.
DAY 2: CYCLING TOUR TRIER TO LEIWEN | 38 KM
The bike tour starts on the historical bike path. Along the Moselle you drive past meadows, forests and vineyards. On the way, stop for a cyclists' feast deluxe in a vinotheque before heading to Leiwen via the Roman Wine Route.
DAY 3: CYCLING TOUR LEIWEN TO BERNKASTEL-KUES | 31 KM
In the oldest wine village in Germany you will see a Roman wine ship and in Piesport one of the largest Roman wine presses north of the Alps. In the evening you shouldn't miss a tour of the medieval Bernkastel-Kues, possibly accompanied by the night watchman, who has many interesting stories to tell.
DAY 4: CYCLING TOUR BERNKASTEL-KUES TO ZELL | 43 KM
You drive down the Moselle and reach the Machern monastery. Excellent beer is brewed here, and distillates can also be tasted in a cellar. There is also a toy and icon museum. After visiting the monastery, you cycle to the Bad Wildstein thermal spring and through the Art Nouveau town of Traben-Trarbach. In the "Schwarzen Katz" area you should try the famous drop that comes from this vineyard.
DAY 5: CYCLING TOUR ZELL TO COCHEM | 38 KM
Today's stage takes you to the via ferrata on Calmont and to the "Sleeping Beauty" village of Beilstein, before you reach your overnight stay in Cochem. The image of this city is characterized by small alleys, a colorfully planted Moselle promenade and the late Gothic imperial castle. On some days knightly feasts are offered here.
DAY 6: CYCLING TOUR COCHEM TO KOBLENZ | 50 KM
Cycle past the Terrassenmosel, wine bars, old half-timbered buildings and historic castles. In Koblenz, where the Moselle and Rhine flow into one another, the cable car takes you to the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress before you end the evening with a stroll through the alleys of the old town.
DAY 7: DEPARTURE FROM KOBLENZ
We have shown you the most beautiful Moselle centers and small wine villages on our stage tour from our popular "pure Moselle"-series. If you would like a day off before, during and/or after your tour, please contact us.
