DAY 1: ARRIVAL TO TRIER
Arrive early as there is a lot to explore. You can experience 2000 years of history up close in the middle of the old buildings and sights. You start your cycling holiday on the main market in Trier with a welcome drink at the winemaker. Afterwards there is enough time for an extensive city tour or a small boat tour on the Moselle, starting at the Zurlaubener Ufer. Here on the banks of the Moselle, you can end the first evening relaxing in one of the small parlors or restaurants.
DAY 2: CYCLING TOUR TRIER TO PIESPORT | 47 KM
Your bike tour begins with a number of things that testify to a long history of viticulture. Those interested can visit the reconstructed foundation walls of Villa Rustica in Mehring or the replica of a Roman wine ship that is anchored in Neumagen-Dhron. It's not far to Piesport, your overnight stay.
DAY 3: CYCLING TOUR PIESPORT TO TRABEN-TRARBACH | 44 KM
The Moselle cycle path takes you via Brauneberg with its old walnut avenue to Bernkastel-Kues. A city that looks like a half-timbered museum. The path to Kröv leads you below the impressive Hochmosel bridge. You shouldn't miss a glass from the famous "Kröver Nacktarsch" vineyard. The Art Nouveau town of Traben-Trarbach is worth a look before you spend the night here.
DAY 4: CYCLING TOUR TRABEN-TRARBACH TO COCHEM | 55 KM
Your stage takes you through the area of the »Schwarzen Katz«, the world-famous vineyard in Zell. Rest your tired cyclist legs during a relaxed picnic on the banks of the Moselle. Passing the »Sleeping Beauty Village« Beilstein you come to the Moselle town of Cochem with its long Moselle promenade and the late Gothic Reichsburg.
DAY 5: CYCLING TOUR COCHEM TO KOBLENZ | 51 KM
You cycle along the Moselle terraces to Moselkern. You should plan a detour from here to the fairytale Eltz Castle. In the afternoon you will pass small wine-growing villages and come to the Deutsches Eck, where the Moselle and Rhine merge. Explore the area around the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress or stroll through the old streets of the historic city.
DAY 6: DEPARTURE FROM KOBLENZ
You have experienced a lot on this classic bike tour on the Moselle cycle path. Would you like to take a day off? Then book an extra night or contact us.
