 The Route: Perl to Koblenz

The 365-kilometer-long Moselsteig is one of Germany's longest and most diverse certified long-distance hiking trails. It runs in 24 stages from Perl - at the German-French-Luxembourgish border - to the Deutsches Eck in Koblenz, featuring a substantial elevation profile with approximately 10,000 meters of total ascent.

The route is consistently well-signposted and leads through picturesque wine towns such as Bernkastel-Kues, Cochem, and Traben-Trarbach.

 Topography &  Difficulty

The Moselsteig is ideally suited for division into individual daily stages, making it an excellent choice even for short-break travelers. Fundamentally, the Moselsteig captivates visitors with its constant variety.

The best time to hike the Moselsteig long-distance hiking trail is between April and October. The most beautiful times are:

  • July-September and holiday weekends: Peak season, book early!
